**Road-Weather Update: Severe storms and flash-flooding concerns tonight**
**Kansas & Nebraska:** Severe thunderstorms are producing up to **60 mph wind gusts** and **nickel-size hail** across parts of northwest and west-central Kansas, including near **Hoxie, Hill City, Wakeeney, Ogallah, and Collyer**. Warnings run through **12:30–1:00 AM CDT**. A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until **1 AM CDT** for north-central Kansas and south-central Nebraska, including the Osborne, Phillipsburg, Smith Center, Alma, Arapahoe, and Cambridge areas. Near **Elsie and Grainton, Nebraska**, storms may produce **60 mph winds and ping-pong-ball-size hail** through **11:45 PM MDT**.
Flooding is already occurring in parts of **Dawson and Gosper counties, Nebraska**, including **Cozad, Gothenburg, Elwood, Johnson Lake, and Willow Island**, after **1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain**. Low-lying roads and poor-drainage areas may be flooded through **2 AM CDT**.
**New Mexico:** Heavy thunderstorms are causing or are expected to cause arroyo, small-stream, and low-water-crossing flooding in northern and northwestern **Otero County**, including **Alamogordo, Tularosa, La Luz, High Rolls, and Mescalero**, through **12:45 AM MDT**. Rainfall totals up to **1.3 inches** have fallen, with more rain expected.
