**Road-Weather Update: Flooding and severe storms are creating hazardous travel in several states tonight.**
– **North Carolina:** Flash flooding continues in central Scotland County, including **Laurinburg, Wagram, East Laurinburg and Laurel Hill**, through **12:45 AM EDT**. Up to **6 inches of rain** fell, and **US 15/501 is down to one lane**. Minor roadway flooding is also possible around **Monroe, Mint Hill, Indian Trail, Weddington and Stallings** in Union County through **1:15 AM EDT**, after up to 3 inches of rain.
– **Virginia:** Flash flooding is ongoing or developing in **Alleghany and Bath counties**, including **Clifton Forge, Hot Springs, Warm Springs, Millboro and Iron Gate**, through **2:30 AM EDT**. Rainfall of **1.5 to 4 inches**, with another inch possible, may flood low-water crossings, streets and underpasses.
– **New Mexico:** A severe thunderstorm near **Amistad and Hayden** is moving northeast at **15 mph** through **10:30 PM MDT**, capable of **60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail**. Sudden wind, hail and possible flash flooding can make roads dangerous.
– **Nebraska/Kansas:** Severe storms are producing damaging winds and hail across parts of southwest Nebraska and northwest Kansas. **I-80 between mile markers 135 and 144 near Madrid** is included in a warning for **60 mph winds and ping-pong-ball-size hail**. Elsewhere, storms near **Oberlin, Norcatur, Trenton and Stratton** are moving south at 20β30 mph, with wind gusts up to **70 mph** and hail. Additional 60 mph wind gusts are possible in **Furnas County, Nebraska**, with storms moving southeast at 40 mph.
– **West Virginia:** A severe storm over **Union** in Monroe County is moving northeast at **15 mph** through **12:15 AM EDT**, bringing **60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail**. Expect possible downed limbs, debris and vehicle-damaging hail near Union, Gap Mills and surrounding areas.
