**Virginia:** Flash flooding is ongoing or expected this morning in and around **Hopewell, Chester, Chesterfield Court House, Bellwood and Bensley**, including central Chesterfield County, south-central Henrico County and the City of Hopewell. Thunderstorms have dropped **1–3 inches of rain**, with another **1–2 inches possible** through **9:30 AM EDT**. Streets, highways, underpasses and other low-lying or poor-drainage areas may flood. **Never drive through flooded roads—turn around.**
**Rhode Island:** Minor flooding is occurring along the **Wood River at Hope Valley** in Washington County through this afternoon. Water may pond onto **Wood River Drive in Richmond** and affect **Dow Park near Main Street in Hopkinton**. The river is expected to fall below flood stage this morning.
Slow down, allow extra stopping distance, and avoid water-covered roads. Check local conditions before traveling.
