**Nationwide road-weather update:**
🌧️ **New Mexico:** Flooding is occurring in central Chaves and Roosevelt counties, including **Roswell, Portales, Dexter, Hagerman and Dora**. **2–3.5 inches** of rain has fallen, with up to **1 inch more possible**. Low-water crossings may be impassable, and the Rio Hondo is expected to have high, fast flows. Warning continues until **3:30 AM MDT**. Minor flooding is also possible around **Alamogordo, Sunspot, White Sands National Park and Holloman Air Force Base** through **1:45 AM MDT**.
⛈️ **West Texas:** Life-threatening flash flooding is ongoing in parts of **El Paso and Hudspeth counties**, including **Tornillo and Desert Haven**. Between **1 and 3 inches** of rain has fallen, with additional rain possible. Highways, streets, underpasses, creeks and streams may flood through about **1:15–1:30 AM MDT**.
💨 **Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut:** High Wind Warnings cover eastern and coastal Massachusetts and northern/southern Rhode Island, with northeast winds of **25–35 mph and gusts up to 60 mph** from this morning through **2 AM EDT Sunday**. Wind Advisories cover parts of Connecticut, Massachusetts and northwest Rhode Island, with gusts of **35–50 mph**. Expect difficult travel for high-profile vehicles, downed branches and possible power outages.
🌫️ **North Dakota:** Dense fog across portions of central North Dakota and the James River Valley may reduce visibility to **one-quarter mile or less** through **11 AM CDT**. Slow down, use headlights and increase following distance.
