🚗 **Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

**Flooding is the primary travel concern across several states:**

– **Texas:** Flash flooding is ongoing in Bosque, Hill, Coryell and Lampasas counties after up to **4 inches of rain**, with additional rain possible. Flooding may affect highways, streets, underpasses and low-water crossings near Clifton, Meridian, Gatesville and Lampasas. A broader flood watch covers south-central and southeast Texas, where **3–6 inches** of rain has fallen, with **6–8+ inches** reported in parts of Montgomery and Harris counties. Warnings and the watch continue through this evening; some flash-flood warnings expire around **11 a.m. CDT**. River flooding also continues near Dallas, Comstock and Pafford Crossing.

– **Nebraska and Missouri:** Widespread river flooding is affecting roads and low-lying areas. **Frederick Street in Fairbury is closed**, flooding is possible near **Highway 6** in Ashland, and **State Highway 77 near Beatrice** is expected to flood as the Big Blue River rises. In Missouri, flooding along the Platte River may affect **Highway KK, Highway B, Interurban Road and State Highway 92**. Additional flooding continues along the Missouri River near Rulo and Brownville, including areas south of **Highway 136**.

– **Kansas:** Flooding along the Marais Des Cygnes River is affecting **County Road Y 5** near Reading. Flooding is also occurring or forecast near Emporia, Beloit and Lyndon; **Highway 75** may see lowland flooding near Salt Creek. Most warnings continue through today or the weekend.

– **Illinois, Iowa and Louisiana:** River flooding continues near the Fox River, Des Plaines River and Spoon River in Illinois; the Des Plaines River remains in minor flood stage near **US-41 in Gurnee**. Rural flooding is expected near Randolph, Iowa. In Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, flooding along the Calcasieu River may affect **Goos Ferry Road**.

– **Alaska:** Moderate flooding continues near the Mendenhall Lake and River in Juneau. **Skaters Cabin Road, View Drive and areas below Back Loop Bridge** may be flooded; the warning continues until Saturday morning.

– **Florida:** Minor flooding and water over roadways are expected in the Lower Keys, including **US-1 between mile markers 0 and 9**, through **11:30 a.m. EDT**. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen, with another **1–3 inches possible**.

– **Arizona:** Small-stream flooding and dangerous low-water crossings are possible in central Pima County, including near Santa Cruz and Kupk, through **6:45 p.m. MST**.

– **South Carolina:** Dense fog with visibility of **¼ mile or less** is affecting **I-95 near Lake Marion** in Clarendon and southeastern Orangeburg counties until **11 a.m. EDT**. Slow down, use headlights and increase following distance.

Never drive through floodwater or around barricades—**turn around, don’t drown**. Avoid flooded roads at night and allow extra time for detours.
