🚙 **Nationwide Road-Weather Update**
**Mid-Atlantic & Northeast:** Major flash-flooding concerns from Maryland and northern Virginia through Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the New York City metro. Roads, underpasses and low-lying areas may be impassable.
• **Baltimore/Harford County, MD:** 1–5 inches of rain has fallen; high water has stranded a vehicle near Eastern Boulevard and Martin Boulevard in Middle River.
• **PA/NJ:** Flash flooding includes **I-80** in the Poconos, **I-287, I-78 and I-80** in central/north New Jersey, plus **I-295, I-195 and I-95** around Mercer/Burlington NJ and Bucks County PA.
• **NYC/North Jersey/Westchester:** Additional 1–2 inches of rain may cause dangerous urban flooding through 9 PM EDT.
• Severe storms may also produce **60 mph winds, quarter-size hail, downed trees and blocked roads** across northern NJ, NYC, the DC/Baltimore region, and northern Virginia.
**Pennsylvania & West Virginia:** Flooded roads are reported or likely around Greensburg, Latrobe, Ligonier, Seven Springs, Monroeville and McKeesport. **I-79 between mile markers 106–113 in West Virginia** is within a flash-flood warning area through 9 PM EDT.
**Ohio, Indiana & Kentucky:** Severe storms with **60 mph winds, quarter-size hail and torrential rain** affect southeastern Ohio, northern Kentucky and eastern Indiana. Expect tree debris, power-line hazards and sudden water-covered roads. Flooding is also possible around Cincinnati and along **SR-335/SR-776** in southern Ohio.
**Iowa & Michigan:** Severe storms in eastern Iowa, including stretches of **I-380**, may bring 60 mph winds and quarter-size hail; a broader central Iowa watch includes potential wind gusts up to **70 mph** through 10 PM CDT. Michigan’s western Upper Peninsula faces half-dollar-size hail near Ontonagon, Bessemer and Wakefield.
**South & Southwest:**
• **New Mexico:** Flash flooding near Tularosa and Bent, including high flows along Tularosa Creek, through 7 PM MDT.
• **Florida:** Heavy rain has produced 1–4 inches across the Fort Myers/Cape Coral and North Port areas; low-lying roads may flood.
• **Louisiana, Oklahoma, North Carolina and southwest Virginia:** Heavy rain may leave water over roads, especially near Houma/Thibodaux, Ada, Burningtown, and Hillsville/Fancy Gap.
• **Alabama:** Elevated water remains on Valley and Village Creeks around Birmingham; avoid flooded streets.
• **West Texas:** A severe storm near **I-10 between mile markers 82–95** may bring 60 mph winds and quarter-size hail.
**Driving safety:** Never drive through flooded roads—turn around, don’t drown. Slow down in heavy rain, avoid underpasses and low-water crossings, and do not drive around barricades. Watch for fallen trees, power lines and hail damage after severe storms.
