**Road-Weather Update: Heavy rain is creating flooding hazards in several areas this afternoon.**
• **NJ/PA:** Flash flooding is ongoing or expected through **5:30 PM EDT** near **I-295 (mile markers 48–66), I-195 (mile markers 0–5), the New Jersey Turnpike between exits 6 and 7A, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike near mile markers 356–359.** Up to 2 inches of additional rain is possible around Trenton, Burlington, Bristol, Bordentown, and nearby areas. Expect flooded streets, underpasses, and low-lying routes.
• **Ohio:** Heavy thunderstorms have dropped 1–2 inches of rain in eastern Scioto County, including Portsmouth and Wheelersburg. Another 0.5–1 inch is possible through **4:45 PM EDT**, with water collecting on low-lying and poorly drained roads.
• **North Florida:** Flood advisories are in effect through **3 PM EDT** for south-central Alachua and east-central Gilchrist counties. An additional 1–2 inches of rain may worsen ponding and minor flooding, especially on rural and low-lying roads.
• **Kentucky:** Thunderstorm rainfall is causing minor flooding near Lexington and in parts of Bourbon, Fayette, and Fleming counties. Advisories run through **3:30 PM EDT** near Fairview, Cowan, and Ewing, and through **4:30 PM EDT** around Lexington. Watch for water-covered roads and poor drainage areas.
Never drive through flooded roads—turn around, don’t drown. Slow down in heavy rain, allow extra stopping distance, and avoid underpasses and low-water crossings.
