đźš— **Road Weather Update: Flooding affecting travel in parts of the Midwest and Intermountain West**
**Indiana:** Flash flooding is occurring around Muncie, Alexandria, Winchester, Windfall and Yorktown through **6 PM EDT**. Additional flooding is impacting the Columbus, Shelbyville, New Castle, Rushville and Edinburgh areas until **3 PM EDT**. Numerous roads remain closed from flooding in west-central Indiana, including around Clinton, Covington, Rockville, Veedersburg and Williamsport, through **6 PM EDT**.
**Illinois:** Heavy thunderstorms have dropped **1–4 inches of rain** near Charleston, Mattoon, Marshall, Casey and Neoga. Watch for flooding along **I-70 between mile markers 106–154** and **I-57 between mile markers 173–193** through **11:15 AM CDT**. Minor urban and low-lying-road flooding is also possible around Decatur through **1:45 PM CDT**, after 1–1.5 inches of rain in an hour.
**Utah:** Life-threatening flash flooding is ongoing in southeastern Washington County. Flooding along the Virgin River has crossed roads, especially **SR-9**, near Hurricane, La Verkin, Virgin, Springdale and Rockville. Water Canyon into the Hildale area is also affected. Warnings continue until **12:30 PM MDT**.
**Montana:** Heavy rain may cause small-stream flooding near the **Bobcat Burn Scar** in north-central Beaverhead County through **12:45 PM MDT**. Up to **0.5 inch** of rain is expected; steep terrain may be vulnerable to rockslides, mudslides and debris flows.
Never drive through flooded roads, underpasses or water-covered crossings—turn around, don’t drown. Slow down, allow extra stopping distance, and follow all road-closure signs.
