**Road-Weather Update**
⚠️ **Nebraska:** Severe thunderstorms are affecting central Nebraska near **Central City, Osceola, Stromsburg, Dannebrog and St. Libory**. Storms are moving southeast at 30–35 mph with **60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail**; warnings run until **12:15–12:45 PM CDT**. A broader severe thunderstorm watch covers much of central, eastern and southeastern Nebraska, plus Fremont County, Iowa, until **4 PM CDT**. Expect sudden crosswinds, falling branches, hail damage and reduced visibility—slow down and avoid stopping beneath trees.
🌧️ **Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania & West Virginia:** Flood watches are in effect as repeated thunderstorms may bring heavy downpours and flash flooding.
– **East-central Illinois and northwest Indiana:** Up to **1–3 inches** of rain possible through late tonight, with flooded streets, creeks and low-lying roads possible.
– **Northern and east-central Indiana, plus much of Ohio:** Heavy rain and flooding concerns extend into **Thursday morning**.
– **Eastern/southeastern Ohio, southwest Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia:** Additional storm rounds may cause flash flooding through **Thursday afternoon**.
Never drive through flooded roads, and use extra caution at underpasses, highway dips, poor-drainage areas and near creeks. If visibility drops or water covers the roadway, turn around and find another route.
