🚨 **Nationwide road-weather update**
🌧️ **Flooding is the primary travel concern across the central and southern Plains:**
– **Kansas:** Flash flooding is ongoing across parts of northeast Kansas, including the Manhattan, Junction City, Wamego and Pottawatomie County areas. **Highway 24 at Excel Road is flooded.** Another 0.5–1 inch of rain is possible; warning continues until **5 p.m. CDT**. Minor flooding and water over roads are also possible across central and western Kansas through **6:45 p.m. CDT**.
– **Nebraska and Iowa:** Ongoing river, creek and lowland flooding affects the Omaha–Lincoln–Council Bluffs region and southeast Nebraska after **3–8 inches of rain**. Water is slowly receding but remains a hazard through **8 p.m. CDT**. In Pottawattamie County, the West Nishnabotna River may flood the paved road from **G30 to Botna Bend Park**; the warning continues into Friday afternoon.
– **Texas:** Major flooding is forecast along the Devils River in Val Verde County near Comstock and Juno, with dangerous conditions for roads, bridges, vehicles and campers through Friday or Saturday. A South Texas **Flood Watch** continues through Friday evening, including areas near Bee, Live Oak, Webb, Jim Wells and Nueces counties. Minor roadway flooding is possible near Rowlett, Rockwall, Ennis, Terrell and Forney until **2:30 p.m. CDT**.
– **Colorado:** Flooding continues on Rule Creek and Muddy Creek in south-central Bent County. Low-water crossings may be impassable until **2:15 p.m. MDT**.
– **Arizona:** Elevated Gila River levels continue near Duncan, Solomon and Calva. **Highway 70 portions and bridge approaches near Bylas are threatened** as the river rises; advisories continue into Friday.
🌴 **Northern Mariana Islands:** Tropical Storm Choi-Wan is moving west near Saipan and Tinian with **39–50 mph tropical-storm-force winds**, possible stronger gusts, dangerous surf and **10–16 inches of rain, with up to 20 inches possible**. Tropical Storm Warnings remain in effect, and typhoon-force winds are possible. Avoid flooded and exposed coastal routes; remain in sturdy shelter as directed.
