🚗 **Road-Weather Update**
**North Carolina Outer Banks:** Flash flooding is ongoing or expected around Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo and the Hatteras Island Fishing Pier until **6 AM EDT**. Thunderstorms have dropped **4–7 inches of rain**, with more possible. **NC 12 near Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge is prone to flooding**, and deep water may be hard to see in the dark. Do not drive through flooded roads.
**South-Central Virginia:** Flood advisories remain in effect until **6 AM EDT** for parts of Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, Nottoway and Dinwiddie counties, including Chase City, Victoria, Kenbridge, Lunenburg and Dinwiddie. Heavy rain has brought **2–3.5 inches**, with another **0.5–1 inch** possible. Watch for water in low-lying, poor-drainage areas and on roads.
**Southeastern Arizona:** A Blowing Dust Advisory is in effect **2 PM–8 PM MST** for the Upper San Pedro and Upper Gila River valleys, eastern Cochise County, and nearby mountain areas including the Chiricahua, Huachuca and Santa Rita ranges. Thunderstorms may produce blowing dust with visibility reduced to **¼ mile to 1 mile**, possibly dropping suddenly. If dust overtakes the roadway, pull completely off the road, park, turn off all lights, and keep your foot off the brake.
