🚗 **Road-Weather Update**
**North Carolina:** Flash flooding is ongoing or expected on Hatteras Island near Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo and the Hatteras Island Fishing Pier until **6 AM EDT**. Thunderstorms have produced **4–7 inches of rain**, and **NC 12 near Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge** is prone to flooding. Deep water may be hard to see in the dark—do not drive through flooded roads.
**Virginia:** Flood advisories remain in effect until **6 AM EDT** for parts of south-central Virginia, including Dinwiddie, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg and Nottoway counties. Around Chase City, Victoria, Kenbridge, Lunenburg and Dinwiddie, **2–3.5 inches of rain** has fallen, with another **0.5–1 inch** possible. Watch for water in low-lying and poor-drainage roads.
**Southeastern Arizona:** A Blowing Dust Advisory is in effect **2 PM–8 PM MST** for the Upper San Pedro and Upper Gila river valleys, eastern Cochise County, and nearby mountain areas including the Chiricahua, Huachuca and Santa Rita ranges. Thunderstorms may drop visibility to **one-quarter mile to one mile**, with sudden near-zero visibility possible. If dust overtakes the road, pull completely off, park, turn off all lights, and keep your foot off the brake.
