**Road-Weather Update**
– **North Carolina:** Severe thunderstorms through **3 PM EDT** near Elkin, Yadkinville, Dobson, Boonville and East Bend. Storms are moving southeast at 20 mph with **60 mph wind gusts, quarter-size hail, and torrential rain** that may quickly flood roads.
– **Kentucky:** A severe storm near West Liberty is moving southeast at 15 mph through **2:15 PM EDT**, with **60 mph winds** and heavy rain that could cause flash flooding in parts of Menifee, Morgan and Wolfe counties.
– **Indiana & northwest Ohio:** Ongoing flooding is affecting the Muncie, New Castle, Yorktown, Chesterfield and Knightstown areas through **9 PM EDT**; up to **2 inches of rain** has fallen. Additional flooding is possible across northern Indiana and Allen/Van Wert counties in Ohio through Sunday morning, with rain rates of **1–2 inches per hour** possible. White County also faces possible flooding near low-water crossings from Norway Dam releases.
– **Central Illinois:** Flooding continues around Bloomington, Normal, Le Roy, Heyworth and Danvers until **6:30 PM CDT**. Watch for closures and water on **I-39, I-74 and I-55**, especially in the listed warning areas.
– **Colorado & western Kansas:** Flash flooding is possible along Colorado’s **I-25 corridor**, Front Range foothills, Palmer Divide and eastern plains through **10 PM MDT**. Strong storms may drop **1–2 inches in 30 minutes**, with isolated totals of **2–4 inches**. East-central Colorado and western Kansas, including Cheyenne County, Wallace, Logan, Gove, Greeley and Wichita counties, could see rainfall rates of **1.5–2.5 inches per hour** tonight. More heavy storms are also expected across central, southwest and west-central Kansas overnight.
– **Hawaii:** Minor road and drainage flooding continues on the windward Big Island, including Hilo, Hawaiian Paradise Park, Kapaau, Honokaa and Papaikou, until **8:30 AM HST**. Showers are falling at **0.5–1.5 inches per hour** and may intensify.
