A flash flood warning includes Huntsville, Decatur, Madison and Athens, where 2–4 inches of rain has fallen and another 1–2 inches is possible; Church Street in Decatur is reported impassable due to high water. ⚠️ **Charlotte, North Carolina:** A severe storm moving east at 25 mph toward Uptown and central Charlotte may produce 60 mph gusts and nickel-size hail through 12:30 AM EDT. Watch for falling trees, downed lines and sudden visibility reductions in heavy rain.
⚠️ **Northwest Kansas & southwest Nebraska:** Severe storms are producing golf-ball-size hail, 60 mph winds and torrential rain. Use extra caution on **I-70 between mile markers 45 and 63** in Kansas; avoid stopping under overpasses and do not drive into water-covered roads.
