**Nationwide Road-Weather Update**
⚠️ **Flash flooding:** In **north-central Alabama**, Cullman, Hanceville, Good Hope, Falkville and Holly Pond could see flooded streets, underpasses and low-lying roads through **3 AM CDT**. An additional 1–2 inches of rain is possible, with rates up to 2 inches per hour. In **northern Arizona**, flooding impacts continue near the Paria River, Marble Canyon and Lees Ferry through **3:45 AM MST** after 0.75–1.25 inches of rain.
⛈️ **Severe storms:** **I-70 in western Kansas, between mile markers 76 and 84**, faces a severe thunderstorm through **1:30 AM CDT**, with 70 mph wind gusts, quarter-size hail and torrential rain. Severe storms also threaten northwest **Georgia** near Calhoun, Adairsville, Resaca, Plainville and Fairmount until **2:30 AM EDT**, with 60 mph gusts and nickel-size hail. Near Tunica, Crenshaw and Sledge, **Mississippi**, expect 60 mph winds and quarter-size hail through **1:15 AM CDT**.
🌧️ **Eastern North Carolina:** A Flood Watch begins at **11 AM EDT** and continues through Saturday morning. Intense rain rates of 2–3 inches per hour and totals of 2–5 inches could flood low-lying, urban and poor-drainage roads across areas including Pitt, Beaufort, Duplin, Lenoir, Craven and Onslow counties.
🌫️ **Dense fog:** Visibility may drop below one-quarter mile through **8 AM EDT** in western Maryland and eastern West Virginia, and through **9 AM EDT** across eastern Ohio, western Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia.
