**Road-Weather Update:** Severe thunderstorms are affecting parts of **North Carolina** this afternoon. Warnings remain in effect through **2:15–2:45 PM EDT** near **New Bern, Beulaville, Raeford, Wagram, Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, Surf City, and Hampstead**. Storms can produce **60 mph wind gusts, quarter-size hail, downed trees/power lines, and torrential rain with possible flash flooding.** Avoid flooded roads and be alert for sudden debris or blocked routes.
A **Severe Thunderstorm Watch** continues until **9 PM EDT** for much of North Carolina, South Carolina, and east-central Georgia, including the Charlotte and Wilmington areas, the South Carolina coast and Midlands, and the Augusta area. Be ready for rapidly changing driving conditions, damaging wind, lightning, and heavy rain.
**Flooding:** Along the **Wabash River in Indiana and Illinois**, moderate flooding is ongoing near **Montezuma and Terre Haute**, with local road flooding/closures possible. Flood impacts extend downstream toward **Riverton, Hutsonville, Vincennes, and Mount Carmel** through next week; near Montezuma, **Vermillion County Road 600 S north of US-36 is impassable.** Near Covington, flooding may affect county roads and areas near **US-136.** Never drive around barricades or through water-covered roads.
In **Ohio**, minor flooding on the **Scioto River near La Rue** is affecting lowland roads, including **High Street, Larue Prospect Road, and parts of Vine Street**, through this evening.
