• **North Carolina:** Life-threatening flash flooding is underway or expected across parts of central and southeastern NC, including Whiteville, Chadbourn, Albemarle, Troy, Rockingham and Wadesboro. Storms have dropped 1–4 inches of rain, with another 1–3 inches possible in some areas. Flood warnings run through **7:15–8:30 PM EDT**. Roads, underpasses and low-lying areas may be flooded or washed out—**turn around, don’t drown.**
Severe storms also threaten **I-73** between mile markers 27–60 and **I-85/I-40** near Burlington, Chapel Hill and Hillsborough with 60 mph winds and hail through **6:30 PM EDT**.
• **Southeast Georgia & South Carolina:** Numerous severe storms are producing or capable of producing **60 mph winds and hail**. Use extra caution on **I-16 between mile markers 96–111**; storms are also affecting areas near Vidalia, Swainsboro, Millen, Sylvania, Barnwell and Kingstree. Warnings generally run through **6:15–7 PM EDT**. A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect for parts of east-central GA and central SC, including Augusta, Columbia and Sumter, until **9 PM EDT**.
• **Louisiana & Mississippi:** Severe thunderstorms may bring **60 mph wind gusts and quarter- to half-dollar-size hail**. Avoid travel on **I-59 in Mississippi between mile markers 7–41** and **I-12 near Livingston, Louisiana**, when storms pass. Additional warned areas include Forrest, Greene, Perry, Smith, Copiah, Lincoln, Lawrence, Jefferson Davis and Marion counties in Mississippi. Warnings expire through **5:45 PM CDT**.
• **Kansas City region:** Severe storms moving southeast at up to 35 mph may affect **I-70 near mile marker 410** and **I-435 between mile markers 14–24**, plus the Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 210–226. Expect up to **60 mph winds and quarter-size hail** through **5:30 PM CDT**. Another storm near Oskaloosa, McLouth and Winchester may produce half-dollar-size hail.
• **Florida:** Severe storms with **60 mph winds, hail and torrential rain** are affecting parts of the Panhandle, Osceola County and southwestern Palm Beach County through **6:30 PM EDT**. Watch for sudden ponding or flooded roads near Baker, Kenansville, Lake Marian and Holey Land Wildlife Refuge.
• **Illinois:** Around DeKalb, Rochelle and Shabbona, a severe storm moving east-southeast may produce **60 mph winds, quarter-size hail and torrential rain** through **6 PM CDT**. Do not drive through flooded roadways.
• **South Dakota & Arizona:** Severe storms near Oral and Angostura Reservoir, SD, and rural northeastern Pima/southeastern Pinal counties, AZ, may bring **60 mph winds and large hail**. Delay travel until storms pass.
• **Nevada, New Mexico & Indiana:** Heavy rain may put water over roads and make low-water crossings impassable in White Pine County, NV—especially near Cherry Creek, Egan Canyon Road and south of Ely—through **7 PM PDT**. Flooding is also possible around Las Cruces and Mesilla, NM, through **5:45 PM MDT**, and near Greenfield, IN, through **7:45 PM EDT**.
