🚗 **Nationwide Road-Weather Update**

**Georgia:** Flash flooding is underway near Grovetown, including **I-20 (mile markers 182–200)** and **I-520 (mile markers 1–7)**, where 2–3 inches of rain and debris-covered Gateway Road have been reported. Warning until **5:15 PM EDT**. Additional low-lying-road flooding is possible near Donalsonville and Dawson through **5:45 PM EDT**.

**New Jersey / Delaware / southeast Pennsylvania / Staten Island:** Dangerous flash flooding is affecting the greater Philadelphia and northern New Jersey metro areas. Parts of Gloucester, Camden and Salem counties have received **4–5 inches of rain**, with flooding already reported in Paulsboro Township. Heavy rain rates of **1–2 inches per hour** may flood streets, underpasses and highways around Newark, Jersey City, Hoboken, Elizabeth, Bayonne, Lindenwold, Deptford, Wilmington and Chester. Flash-flood warnings extend into this evening. Severe thunderstorms remain possible across much of NJ, DE and southeast PA until **8 PM EDT**.

**New York:** Severe storms are moving east at **25–35 mph** across central and eastern NY, including near Oneida, Cortland and the Northwood area. Expect wind gusts up to **60 mph**, quarter-size hail and possible sudden road blockages from fallen trees. Warnings expire between **4:15 and 5 PM EDT**. Severe storms remain possible across central NY and northeast PA until **9 PM EDT**.

**Nebraska:** A severe storm near Cody is moving southeast at **15 mph**, capable of **60 mph winds** and half-dollar-size hail. Use caution on **Highway 20 between mile markers 146 and 162** through **3:45 PM CDT**.

**Virginia:** A severe thunderstorm near Broadway and Timberville is producing up to **60 mph winds** and torrential rain. Downed trees could block roads, with localized flash flooding possible. Warning until **4:15 PM EDT**.

**Carolinas:** Heavy thunderstorms may cause low-lying-road flooding around Raleigh, Cary, Sanford, Lillington and Carthage, NC through **7 PM EDT**. Minor flooding is also possible near Andrews, SC through **6:30 PM EDT**.

Never drive through flooded roads or around barricades. Slow down in heavy rain, watch for standing water and downed trees, and allow extra stopping distance.
