🚗 **Nationwide Road-Weather Update**
**Arizona:** Life-threatening flash flooding is affecting parts of Cochise County, including **I-10, Routes 80, 82, 90, 92, 181, 186 and 191**. Willcox, Bowie, San Simon, Portal, Elfrida and Sierra Vista are among the affected areas. **1–3 inches of rain has fallen, with more possible.** Flooding and debris may cover highways, washes and low-water crossings. Warnings continue through approximately **7:15–10:30 PM MST**. Flash flood warnings also cover **Prescott and nearby areas**, including **SR-69 and SR-89**, and the **Sand Stone Burn Scar near AZ-87**.
**New Mexico:** Flash flooding and dangerous runoff are affecting **Ruidoso, Ruidoso Downs, Alto, Lincoln County, the Organ Mountains, and southeastern Lincoln County**. Roads and low-water crossings may be impassable; **Alamo Canyon Road is closed**, and flooding is affecting **Highways 70 and 380 near San Patricio**. Burn-scar debris flows are possible. Flooding continues across the **Dona Ana, Sierra and Otero County** areas, including Alamogordo, Tularosa, Hatch, Caballo and surrounding arroyos. Alerts run through approximately **8–11:15 PM MDT**.
A **severe thunderstorm** in west-central Eddy County near Carlsbad is producing **60-mph wind gusts and penny-size hail**, moving northeast at 25 mph. Warning expires around **6:45 PM MDT**.
**Colorado:** A life-threatening flash flood warning covers the **Southern Aspen Acres Burn Scar in southwestern Pueblo County**. Debris flows of rock, mud and vegetation may affect stream crossings and county roads through about **8:45 PM MDT**.
**Texas:** Minor flooding is occurring or expected near **Claude** in Armstrong and Carson counties. Up to another **1–2 inches of rain** is possible through approximately **9:15 PM CDT**.
**Driving safety:** Never drive through floodwater—**turn around, don’t drown**. Avoid low-water crossings, underpasses and flooded roads; move to higher ground near burn scars and debris flows. Severe storms may produce sudden wind and hail—slow down and seek sturdy shelter if conditions worsen.
