⚠️ **Mid-Atlantic:** Severe thunderstorms are creating dangerous travel conditions from central and western **Virginia** through **Maryland, Washington, D.C., and northern Virginia**, as well as parts of **Pennsylvania and southern New York**. Damaging wind gusts of **60–70 mph**, hail, torrential rain, downed trees, blocked roads, and localized flash flooding are possible. The strongest warnings include Baltimore, Columbia, Germantown, Arlington, Alexandria, Harrisonburg, Staunton, Woodstock, Allentown, and I-83/I-78 corridors. A broader severe-storm watch remains in effect across much of MD/VA/DC until **9 PM EDT**.
